A Simple Model for Digital/Analog Crosstalk Simulation in Deep Submicron CMOS Technology
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper illustrates a simple model of digital/analog crosstalk, suitable for simulation of digital switching noise in integrated circuits with highly doped substrate and epitaxial layer. The proposed model is suitable for analog simulations using any SPICE-like simulator, and is useful during the design phase to compare different design/layout strategies and evaluate design robustness. A comparison between simulation results and experimental measurements on integrated test structures is presented.

Crosstalk effects in mixed-signal ICs in deep submicron digital CMOS technology
This paper illustrates the crosstalk phenomenon and its impact on the design of mixed analog/digital circuits with high accuracy specifications. Generation of digital disturbs, propagation through the substrate, and effects on analog devices are considered, with particular emphasis on integrated circuits realized on heavily doped substrate, where traditional shielding is less effective. متن کاملA Simple General-purpose I-V Model for All Operating Modes of Deep Submicron MOSFETs
A simple general-purpose I-V model for all operating modes of deep-submicron MOSFETs is presented. Considering the most dominant short channel effects with simple equations including few extra parameters, a reasonable trade-off between simplicity and accuracy is established. To further improve the accuracy, model parameters are optimized over various channel widths and full range of operating v...
متن کاملHigh Speed FIR Filters for Digital Decimation
This paper describes a multistage FIR decimation filter implemented with a multiplier-free architecture. The filter is designed to be used in A/D converters in submicron CMOS technology. The proposed architecture aims at increasing the operation speed while limiting the power dissipation, thus reducing the injection of switching noise into the substrate and the digital/analog crosstalk.
متن کاملAnalog Design in Deep Submicron Cmos Processes for Lhc
Present state-of-the-art CMOS technologies integrate MOS transistors with a minimum gate length of 0.18 Pm0.25 Pm and operate with a maximum power supply of 2.5 V. The thin gate oxide used in these technologies has a high tolerance to total dose effects. Therefore, circuits designed in these technologies using dedicated layout techniques (enclosed layout transistors and guard-rings) show a tota...
متن کاملMOCA ARM: Analog Reliability Measurement based on Monte Carlo Analysis
Due to the expected increase of defects in circuits based on deep submicron technologies, reliability has become an important design criterion. Although different approaches have been developed to estimate reliability in digital circuits and some measuring concepts have been separately presented to reveal the quality of analog circuit reliability in the literature, there is a gap to estimate re...
